Mini Baton Pass Team
OK this is a new team i made. Its sort of a baton pass team. I get some stat boost a pass to a sweeper simple as that o.-. You'll understand more as i go into detail.
My Lead:
Jolteon-Timid-Leftovers
252 Special Attack/252 Speed
-Charge Beam
-Yawn
-Substitute
-Baton Pass
Purpose: He'd my lead. The first turn I yawn/sub depending on what i think they'll do depending from there i might try to set up more with charge beam but if anything I'll just baton pass
Worst Case Scenario: I get a yawn off Jolteon dies and then i switch in Scizor for the free agility if they switch great, if they dont i get a free SD and Baton Pass.
Most Likely Scenario: I get a sub up and pass to Lucario or Scizor to set up
Main Sweeper:
Lucario-Hasty-Life Orb
216 Attack/ 40 Special Attack/ 252 Speed
-Close Combat
-Extreme Speed
-Crunch
-Hidden Power Ice
Purpose: This guy doesnt absolutely NEED a set up so its nice to just to be able to hit hard. HP Ice allows me to kill dragonites with hp ice then once their yache berry kicks in i'll extreme speed for a kill hopefully. 40 special attack gives HP Ice a little extra boost along with hasty over jolly.
Worst Case Scenario: He comes in deals some damage then i revenge kill with starmie or jolteon
Most Likely Scenario: He does the main purpose for this set wall break.
Physical Tank(meh)/Baton Passer
Scizor-Jolly-focus sash
252 Attack/252 Speed
-X-Scissor
-Baton Pass
-Swords Dance
-Agility
Purpose: To get an agility into my star player coming up shortly. This guy can usually get an agility in if i play my cards right then swords dance is a matter of having my sash still unless i have a free turn thanks to jolteon. 252 speed allows me to outrun everything but max speed deoxys and swift swim kingdra (IIRC)
Worst Case Scenario: He only gets an agility in because stealth rock is up since I wouldnt have a sash to block the highly likely fire attack thats coming.
Most likely: I get both in and i pass it to my star player who resist scizors worst enemies Fire Blast/Flamethrower and Earthquake (since it usually 2HKO's)
Main Sweeper
Dragonite-Adamant-Muscle Band
252 Attack/242 Speed/16 HP
-Dragon Claw
-Fire Punch
-Thunder Punch
-EarthQuake
Purpose: To recieve scizors baton pass most of the time this guy is a beast. Dragon Claw for stab, since outrage can come back to bite me in the face. Fire Punch for Bronzong, it 1HKO's if i get a SD, and does about 75% if i have +1 attack. Thunder Punch gets rid of Gyarados and quick. Earthquake for heatran who walls me otherwise. 242 speed allows me to outrun deoxys/ swift swim kingdra (i think/hope). 16 HP is to help come into flamethrowers a little better.
Worst Case Scenario: Gyarados comes in the intimidates me and then i kill it with T-Punch
Most Likely Scenario: I sweep the whole team of half of it.
Special Sweeper/Spinner
Starmie-Timid-expert belt
220 Special Attack/252 Speed/36 Hp
-Surf
-Ice Beam
-Thunderbolt
-Rapid Spin
Purpose: To recive the charge beam boost from jolteon, and spin stealth rock since it ruins some strategies. Expert Belt over life orb because i need the extra health to kill calm minders. The HP is like that to make starmie a little more bulky it doesnt make a difference to SpA though so w/e.
Worst Case Scenario: It does the same as a regular starmie
Most Likely Scenario: It does the same as a regular starmie (yes i know its the same but i most likely wont be worrying about passing special attack to starmie but its always an option so yeah)
No defined purpose
Breloom-Adamant-Toxic Orb
44 HP/252 Attack/212 Defense
-Focus Punch
-Spore
-Leech Seed
-Substitute
Purpose: This guy also loves Scizors passes but it doesnt REALLY need them, it'd probably be my second choice as a recipient after Dragonite dies. HP/Def ev's allows me to live at least one dragonite/garchomp outrage so thats cool beans (did i just say that?). The moveset allows me to spore, sub and then leech seed to recover health, after that i may focus punch to my hearts content.
Worst Case Scenario: I get walled by ghost so i'd have to rely on leech seed for damage, same goes for dragonites and pokemon i forget.
Most Likely: I set up with sub and leech seed.
Pro's: This team can sweep a team if done correctly by using only 3 pokemon. This team also makes use of two unpopular sets for OU pokemon, Jolteon and Breloom. This team is also very fun to use as it is not very serious.
Con's: Stealth Rock kind of annoys this team as i have to wait to set up. If dragonite dies too early the game WILL go downhill for me, this doesnt mean i'll lose but it'll be a tight spot.
Please tell me what you think

Re: Mini Baton Pass Team
i...hate...breloom...
seriously, its a lame way of winning. at least i have to rely on hax to make my team work the way it should
nothing personal, its a good team in fact, just saying that i personally hate breloom (that and the smeargle/linoone combo

Re: Mini Baton Pass Team
how can you hate breloom?
anyway i see a few flaws. first off, starmie spinner doesnt particularly work too well. Its good to have it in there, but to use it youd have to either pass agility/SD to it ( lolwut ) or switch out, breaking your nice BP chain. Also, after coming in, it would be hard to get out safely too. Either it dies (they can SR up again) or you switch, meaning that possibly you lose a BPer/BPee. Also how would u get +1 atk on dragonite anyway?
Since half your team is weak to fire, and you wouldnt want to switch in dragonite before its ready (against possible SR), that starmie SERIOUSLY need recover, or its gonna take damage from switching into fire moves (however small, it all adds up). Also youve messed with 2 sets. Youve combined most of one moveset with another's EVs. A spinner is a very different starmie to a normal one. It has a mixture of SpA, Speed and HP EVs, with mostly HP, and just enough speed to outrun common threats like ape and gengar. So you need to sort out those EVs. I cant remember the exact ones though sorry. You might want to consider giving it lefties too

Re: Mini Baton Pass Team
actually legends its mini baton pass because there is no chain <.<. also i didnt mix two sets together i did it like that so it gets 3 hko'd by mamoswine and can take two shadow balls from gengar/froslass (i forget which) after stealth rock. Starmie has rapid spin mostly as a filler as stealth rock doesnt really bother me as scizor can easily switch into anything using stealth rock. Half the time i wont switch more than 6 times a match so stealth rock really doesnt matter but its just in case.

Re: Mini Baton Pass Team

Re: Mini Baton Pass Team
i could care less about fire i want a fire to come in on me, especially on scizor. and you can see that i didnt ignore i responded to you <.< also it was mix scarf lass, and focus punch gengar it survives....

Re: Mini Baton Pass Team
fine not ignoring, merely taking no heed of. whats the point in making this topic, if you already think your team is perfect
Guest- Guest
Re: Mini Baton Pass Team
i dont remember ever saying this team was perfect, i'm just saying that what you say has no real meaning to me since the reason i used scizor was to attract fire moves, and more likely than not i've will have already took care of the fire pokemon since the only one i'll really see is infernape and starmie and lucario take care of that

Re: Mini Baton Pass Team
death fodder something with him using CC then extreme speed really legends think for a second

Re: Mini Baton Pass Team
did i say lucario if i did very sorry. i meant death fodder something else, i dont know how you got coufused though since no other pokemon on my team knows extreme speed, and death fodder means to let die, so yeah... and when did i patronize you
