Weather Teams

Post by Ninja Death Strike on Thu Jul 17, 2008 4:21 am

Do any of you guys use weather teams? I made this topic so that anyone who uses a weather based team could post it and describe how it works. Also anyone who might be interested in making one could look here for ideas.

I have a Snow team I've been using quite successfully on Shoddy. Abomasnow lead with Stallrien and CB Weavile. Blissey and Cresselia for walls and Foretress to spin. It works really well because no one really prepares for Snow teams as most of them suck. Keeping Foretress alive is imporant though as without Rapid Spin SR kills the team very quickly.

I have a Sandstorm Team. Tyranitar leads, Skarm and Cradily are walls, and Aerodactyl, Garchomp, and Heatran sweeps.

You and Kevin. Razz

I want to make a Sunny Day team also, but it's really hard to choose who'll lead.

I've done everything but Sunny Day...just never really knew enough about the pokes that can make use of it. It might be interesting in Ubers with Groudon support.

Seems like you could set up a Ho-oh sweep with it, plus it would help counter all of those Kyorge teams.

I've used a rain dance team, it was quite successful.

My main pokemon:

Blastoise: Helps set up rain dance, and very sturdy. I use rain dance when I know Blastoise isn't gonna last long, and holding a damp rock so rain dance lasts longer (obviously).

Kingdra: An absolute beast in rain, ev'ed to out-speed Adamant scarf Garchomp in rain. With Surf/Ice beam/Dragon Pulse as attacks very few pokemon resists the set. Not much can handle a STAB/rain dance boosted/life orbed Surf.
